Roger served as Clark College’s athletic director from 1982 to 1996.  During the span, the Penguins earned 28 league championships and six NWAACC titles.  Daniels oversaw improvements in the facilities at Clark including construction of the baseball and soccer fields, and replacement of the gym floor and bleachers.  Daniels served as chair to the western region women basketball committee, and on the executive board of the NWAACC.  Clark also hosted NWAACC championships in women's volleyball, and men & women's basketball, plus the annual men and women's basketball All-Star games.  In 1996, Daniels accepted a position as Clark’s Enrollment Manager, which focused on recruiting students for the entire campus.  Daniels has continued to serve the community helping to raise $51 million to remodel Washougal Public Schools, establishing the Washougal Schools Foundation -- serving as its first President, and was appointed by Governor Locke to serve on the the statewide Lewis & Clark Bicentennial Advisory Committee -- of which he chaired in 2006.  He was also elected as Fire District #1 commissioner.  In 2001, Daniels was awarded “Camas-Washougal Citizen of the Year”. In 2002, Daniels received the NWAACC Outstanding Service Award, and in 2005 he was named Clark College’s Outstanding Alumni Award recipient.
