Ken Boydstun is a native of Vancouver, Washington, where he attended Vancouver High School. Ken is welcomed into the 2018 Clark College Hall of Fame for his great talents on the basketball court, the baseball diamond, and even the track.

During hiw two years on the basketball team, Ken twice earned the title of Best Defensive Player under the coaching leadership of Claude "Skeets" O'Connell. In 1955, the Clark College Penguins went on to be named the Washington Junior College Campions by posting 14 wins and only two losses.

Ken's baseball career at Clark remains legendary as well. Ken is still one of the top hitters in Penguin Nation history. In 1954, Ken finished the baseball season with the highest batting average .456. During this season, the Penguins went on to win 11 out of 12 games and were runner-ups in the WSJCAC Campionship, and Ken was again an instrumental part of this team, helping the team win 19 games and only losing four. Both years the Penguins lost the championship to Yakima Valley.

While at Clark, Ken was twice named Most Outstanding Athlete. In 1954 after the Penguins were knocked out of the baseball playoffs, Ken decided to run the track and field championship. Despite it being his very first track meet, he won the 440-meter race and placed second in the 220-meter race.

After Clark, Ken continued his baseball career by becoming one of the top softball players in the area. Ken won over 13 individual tournaments and played in 15 regional tournaments where he was selected as an all-star player several times.
