Penguins Win Big Over Weekend

It was a great weekend for the Clark soccer programs as both the men and women went on the road and dominated the Chemeketa Storm.

WOMEN
The women's team won 2-0 recording their 2nd shutout this season. Carla Ruiz made this happen with 6 total saves. On the offensive side Maddie Reynolds was a power house, scoring both Clark's goals (40th min, 59th min).   Head Coach Sean Janson was pleased with the performance at Chemeketa.  "Great road win for the team. We had some great individual performances but this was a true team win. Our depth pulled us through on a very hot afternoon."

MEN
The men started out with a bang with John Yoon scoring a quick strike in the 4th minute assisted by goal keeper, Miguel Perez Flores. Once Clark had the lead they never looked back. Scoring came frequently throughout the match and a number of Penguins got in on the action:  13th min (Wil Noble), 49th min (Alec McCreedy), 63rd min (Keegan Wesley), 76th min (Anthony Barboza), and 88th min (Micah Rickard).

Clark's 6-2 win gave them their 2nd win in a row and put them back to winning form. After a tough start to the season, this win improves the Penguins overall record to 2-2-1.
