Penguin T&F Standout Moves On

J'Quan Collins commits to Warner Pacific University

J CollinsVANCOUVER, Wash. - Clark College Cross Country and Track is excited to announce that Sophomore, J'Quan Collins, has committed to further his academic and athletic career at Warner Pacific University. WPU, located in Portland, Oregon, is bringing back their NAIA Cross Country and Track programs in the Fall after a couple year hiatus.

The Knights are getting one of the fastest Penguins in school history with Collins. As a Freshman, Collins was All-Southern Region in three events and earned All-Conference in the 200 meters as well as part of the 400 meter relay team. After an injury forced a redshirt in his second year, Collins made the most of his final season with the Penguins this past Spring. The Southern Region Champion in both the 100 and 200 meters, Collins ran his personal best times of 10.68 and 21.84 on that day. Those times rank sixth and eighth all time in Clark College history. At the NWAC Championships the following week, J'Quan earned All-American honors in the 100, 200, and as a part of the 400 meter relay team, which ran the third fastest time in school history. To top it off, Collins made the finals in both jumping events and earned All-Conference recognition in the long jump. It was the perfect cap to a great career.

Congratulations J'Quan! Thank you for everything you ahve done for Clark. We wish you all the best at Warner! Go Knights!
