VANCOUVER, Wash. - Clark College Men's Cross Country and Track & Field are thrilled to announce the addition of David Mirenta out of Kelso, WA.
Mirenta joins the Penguin Family with momentum on his side having just been a part of his high school's 2021 League and District Championship teams while also receiving GSHL Academic Scholar Athlete honors and being listed on the Honor Roll all four years. Mirenta is also very involved in the local community, having spent 150 hours doing community service.Â
"I love to run. So, it was a no brainer," says Mirenta.
"David was a converted football player who ran just one year for us, but in that year, he showed great work ethic and a desire to improve," said Kelso Head XC Coach, Tim Wines. "We are excited to continue to see his growth at Clark."
"Kelso kids are built different. I've seen it first hand coaching in the GSHL for 12 years. David fits the mold. He's competitive, athletic, and a hard worker. We're excited to welcome him to Clark," said Penguins XC Head Coach,
Owen Frasier.
