VANCOUVER, Wash. - Sophomore center,
Matt Garrison signs with William Jessup University an NAIA school in Rocklin, California.
Garrison came to Clark College out of Kings Way Christian. He started every game during his two-year campaign with the penguins, averaging 10.4 points per game and 7.5 rebounds per game, his sophomore season. He tallied seven double-doubles during the 19-20 season, bringing down a season high 15 rebounds vs Chemeketa on January 18.
Head men's basketball coach,
Kevin Johnson stated, "Matt is one of the finest young men I have had the pleasure to coach in my career. His character, work-ethic, and leadership are unquestioned. I am so proud of what he has accomplished and grateful for the experience of having worked with him the past two seasons. William-Jessup University couldn't have signed a better young man."
Via social media Garrison stated, "Super excited to announce that I have committed to William Jessup University for basketball. Thank you to all the coaches who got me to this point. Most importantly thank you to my mom and all my brothers who believed in me the most. Go warriors!"
