Liam Clark Signs with Clark College

Penguins Sign Clark from Port Angeles

VANCOUVER, Wash. - The Penguins are proud to announce the commitment of Liam Clark. The athlete from Port Angeles, WA, will be joining the Men's Basketball and Track programs.

Liam chose to join the Penguins so that he can become a dual sport athlete at the next level, while also furthering his education closer to home.

Clark, a recent graduate from Port Angeles, was a strong performer for the Roughriders on the basketball court and on the track. During his time on the court for his high school, Clark received First Team All-Olympic honors in 2019, while also breaking the school's rebounding and blocking records.

"Liam is a great kid! We are really excited to add him to our 2019 recruiting class. He's a good athlete with length that we feel will have a chance to help us right away. Most importantly, he's a great character kid that will fit our culture." said Head Men's Basketball Coach Kevin Johnson.

On the track, Clark was just as much of a force, being a two-time participant of the 2A State Championship meet during his junior and senior seasons. Clark will come in with experience jumping as far as 21'1.25 in the long jump (which won him a district title) and 43'3.75 in the triple jump (which placed him 5th at the State Championship).

Clark College Head Track and Field Coach Robert Williams said the following regarding signing Clark, "Great addition, good student, great character. With the graduation of our top two triple jumpers, Liam is just what we need."
