Men's and Women's Track & Field have dominant performance over the weekend

VANCOUVER, Wash. - The Clark College track and field team had a great performance at the John Knight Twilight meet Friday, April 6 at Western Oregon University.  The team posted several conference best times, first place finishes, an personal records.  "A great overall team performance," said Head coach Bob Williams.

For the men, Sophomore Jilven Refil claimed the top spot at the meet in the 100m with a time of 10.89.  Sophomore, Noah Root, finished 2nd at the meet in the 200m at 22.13.  Freshman, Antoine Wilder, continued the trend finishing 2nd in the 400 intermediate hurdles with a time of 56.14.  Each of those finishes are currently lead the NWAC.  Sophomore, David Tran, finished second in the long jump with a leap of 6.59m.   Freshman, Leovardo Munoz, finished right behind him at 6.40m.

For the women, Freshman sprinter, Chamerea McGee, grabbed the top spot in the 100m at 12.66, which currently leads the NWAC.  She also finished 2nd in the 200m with a time of 26.36.  Freshman distance runner, Natalia Urtiaga, competed in the 5k and posted a time of 20:36.19.  Sophomore, Chloe Lindbo, grabbed the top spot at the meet in the 100m hurdles, with a time of 14.99. Freshman, Zoey Pitts, finished 6 in the 400 hurdles with a time of 1:08.75.  Freshman, Emily Davis, competed in the hammer and finished with a throw of 31.99 meters.

The team will be taking some members to St. Martins to compete, this upcoming weekend.  The entire team will go back on the road Friday, April 20, when they attend the Raider Invite at Southern Oregon University.
