VANCOUVER, WA. - It was a good night to be a Lady Penguin on Wednesday as the women of Clark's basketball team pulled out a convincing win over the Clippers of South Puget Sound College. The Penguins (who are almost back to 100% full strength after several injuries in the pre-season) took the lead early and were able to ride a wave of excellent shooting and strong defense all the way to a 115-18 victory.
With a total field goal precentage of 63%, and a total of 41 rebounds it was hard to deny that Clark was on fire and in their element.
Sophomore Dom Johnson saw a lot of action, tying with Freshman
Nicolette Bond for most total points (23). Freshman
Andrea Smith scrapped for a total of 8 total rebounds while Freshmand
Jade Bowie helped earn points with 5 assists.
The Penguins will square off on the road at Highline College Saturday, January 5th. The match is slated to start at 1 pm.
