VANCOUVER, Wash. - Clark Track & Field and Cross Country welcome Soleil Bianchi from White River High School in Buckley, WA!
Over the next several days, we're going to highlight our signings in the 2023 class. We continue today with a key member of the women's class- Soleil Bianchi. When asked why she chose to attend Clark, Soleil said "I've heard awesome things about Clark, so to be a part of a such a great group is very exciting. I'm looking forward to the new friendships I'll make and being able to improve my skills!"
Soleil has been very consistent in her four years at White River. She and the team qualified for State each of her years of cross country, highlighted by a 62nd (individual) and 7th place (team) finish this season. Soleil's best performance came at the Westside Classic this season when she finished 13th overall by running a PR of 21:04. Of all the women's signees in the 2023 class, Clark Head Coach Owen Frasier thinks Bianchi has some of the most potential to become a star. "Soleil is a really talented athlete who we see as a potential all conference runner in the NWAC. We believe that she's going to accomplish whatever she wants here, and take the next steps to becoming really great in this conference."
Soleil showcased her speed and talent on the track as well for the Hornets. She ran a 1:06 PR in the 400 meters and was a part of the White River 4X400 team that qualified for State last spring. A three sport athlete, Bianchi also takes the court as a member of the Hornet girls basketball team. White River girls cross country coach Dameon Marlow believes this is just the beginning for Bianchi "Soleil has so much more room to grow as an athlete. When she gets to college and is able to commit herself fully to distance running, she's going to take off! We are very excited to see what she's able to achieve at Clark."
