Another Great Day for Penguin Track and Field at WOU

Clark College delivered a strong, all-around performance at a competitive collegiate track meet, highlighted by multiple event wins, relay success, and a wave of personal-best marks across both the men's and women's teams.

MONMOUTH, OR - On the men's side, Clark showcased elite sprint and hurdle performances led by sophomore standout Koynn Williamdyke, who captured the 400-meter title in 48.85 while also anchoring key relay success. Williamdyke returned later in the meet to win the 400-meter hurdles in 53.50, marking one of the most dominant individual performances of the day for the Penguins.

Clark's men also struck gold in the 4x400 relay, where Williamdyke teamed with Max Ensinger, Ian Ebinger, and Jaeden Freitas to run 3:23.33 for first place, capping a standout day on the track. The 4x100 relay squad also placed fifth overall in 42.86, showing sprint depth across the roster.

In the sprints, Chris Garnett led the way with a top-20 finish in the 200 meters (22.48), while Ian Ebinger added a strong 400-meter effort in 50.67. Across the board, Clark sprinters and mid-distance runners produced several personal-best performances, including notable improvements from Seth Arnett, Jordan Morales, and Evan Hollis.

In the distance events, Clark continued to build momentum. The men's steeplechase group performed especially well, with Dekota Houfek finishing third overall in 10:10.39, followed closely by Tate Armstrong and Carson Vann, both setting personal bests.

In the field, Clark added valuable points through consistency and breakthroughs. Taeven Hill placed third in the triple jump with a personal-best 14.00 meters, while Wyatt Galipeau and Nico Valdez both contributed strong throws in the discus and shot put. Luke Livengood added a solid javelin performance at 48.79 meters.

Peabody also contributed to Clark's success in relays and sprint depth throughout the meet.

Clark's women's sprint relays were among the team's top highlights, with the 4x100 squad finishing third in 48.95 and the 4x400 relay also taking third in 4:06.18, showcasing strong chemistry and consistency.

In the distance events, Nayeli Vergara delivered a personal-best 5000-meter performance in 22:37.44, while Mariposa Perez added strong efforts in both the 800 and 1500 meters.
