FOREST GROVE, OR - Clark College turned in a strong all-around performance this weekend, highlighted by event victories, personal bests, and depth across sprints, distance, hurdles, and field events.

The Penguins were especially impressive on the men's side in the hurdles and jumps. Max Ensinger led the way with a first-place finish in the 110-meter hurdles, clocking a personal-best 14.99. He doubled back with another strong showing in the 400-meter hurdles, placing second, while teammate Koynn Williamdyke captured the event title in 54.56.

Clark continued to dominate the horizontal jumps, sweeping the top two spots in the triple jump. Taeven Hill claimed the win with a mark of 13.10 meters, followed closely by Drayden Starke-Shaf, who finished second at 12.72. Hill also added a fourth-place finish in the long jump, showcasing his versatility.

On the track, the Penguins showed depth in the sprint events. Chris Garnett led Clark in both the 100 and 200 meters, placing third in the 100 (11.24) and seventh in the 200 (22.76). He was joined by multiple teammates in the finals, including Koynn Williamdyke and Julian Johnson, highlighting a deep sprint group.

Clark's middle-distance and distance runners continued to make strides. Clivine Abuya recorded a personal best in the 800 meters, while Evan Hollis delivered a strong double, finishing 10th in the 1500 (4:23.27 PB) and adding a solid performance in the 800. In the steeplechase, Clark placed four runners in the top seven, led by Dekota Houfek's runner-up finish and personal best, with Tate Armstrong and Ben Carter also posting personal bests.

In the field events, Clark saw standout performances in the throws. Nico Valdez placed fourth in the discus, while Wyatt Galipeau contributed in both the shot put and discus. In the javelin, Luke Livengood secured a second-place finish with a personal-best throw of 49.31 meters.

The women's team matched that success with several top finishes and breakthrough performances. Emily Peabody led the sprint group, finishing third in the 100 meters and taking second in the 200 with a season-best time of 25.92. Teammate Abby Mendoza added a pair of strong finishes in both sprint events.

Clark's strength in the 400 meters was evident, with Mallory Davenport placing second and Myah Manzano adding a personal-best performance. The momentum carried into the relays, where the Penguins' 4x400 team—featuring Nico Field, Davenport, Britney Ketels, and Peabody—captured first place with a time of 4:09.91.

In the hurdles, Field also turned in a strong individual performance, placing fourth in the 400-meter hurdles, while Ketels added depth in the same event.

The field events provided additional highlights. Freshman Ella Lulich placed second in the discus with a personal-best throw and added a fifth-place finish in the shot put. Sophia Martin contributed in both the discus and javelin, while Nora Herinckx secured a third-place finish in the high jump.

Across the board, Clark College showcased a balanced and competitive lineup, with multiple event wins, personal bests, and strong finishes against a deep field of competition. The Penguins continue to build momentum as they progress through the outdoor season, demonstrating both depth and upward trajectory in nearly every event group.

The Penguins will take spring break week off before returning to action at Western Oregon University April 10-11.
