Clark College leaned on its front court muscle and late-game composure to pull out an 81–76 win over Portland, grinding through a physical, back-and-forth contest before closing strong down the stretch.
The Penguins were powered by a dominant inside performance from Noah Tostovrsnik and Tristan Pratt, who combined for 47 points and 25 rebounds. Tostovrsnik finished with a game-high 25 points, adding 14 rebounds and three blocks, while going 7-of-9 at the free-throw line to help seal the win late. Pratt followed with 22 points and 11 rebounds, battling in the paint all night and providing key second-chance opportunities.
Clark controlled the glass with a 37–30 rebounding edge, including 10 offensive boards, which proved critical in a game that featured multiple momentum swings. Portland stayed within striking distance behind Luke Jessup's 20 points and Jackson Leach's 17, but Clark consistently answered when challenged.
In the back court, Ari Richardson didn't have his typical night shooting, but made his presence felt in every other way, finishing with six assists, six rebounds, and three steals while playing all 40 minutes. Zion Milare chipped in 10 points, knocking down a pair of threes, and Micah Gentry added timely perimeter shooting.
The bench also delivered important contributions. Jaydon Hall provided an immediate spark, scoring nine points on 3-of-5 shooting, including 2-of-3 from deep, while adding defensive pressure that helped slow Portland's guards.
Clark shot 40.6% from the field and a strong 77.3% from the free-throw line, converting key opportunities in the final minutes to hold off Portland's push. With balanced scoring, rebounding dominance, and steady execution late, the Penguins earned a hard-fought home victory.
