Game Recap: Men's Basketball |

Penguins Upset by Chemeketa in Overtime

PORTLAND - Despite a gritty, wire-to-wire battle that stretched deep into overtime, the Clark College men's basketball team came up just short in a 62–56 loss to Chemeketa, leaning on effort, defense, and timely plays to stay within striking distance throughout the night.

Clark was led by Ari Richardson, who logged an exhausting 45 minutes and finished with a team-high 16 points, knocking down two three-pointers and battling defensively with two steals. Richardson's ability to create shots late kept the Penguins within one possession multiple times during the extra period.

Tristan Pratt delivered another all-around performance, posting 11 points, five rebounds, three assists, and two blocks while committing zero turnovers in 45 minutes of action. His interior presence anchored Clark on both ends as the game tightened.

On the glass, Jaydon Hall provided a spark, pulling down nine rebounds to go with eight points, three assists, and two steals, while Noah Tostovrsnik chipped in six points and seven rebounds despite foul trouble.

Clark's bench contributed key moments as well, with Marcell Roberts going a perfect 2-for-2 from the field for four points, and Jakob Kreissig adding energy minutes in the front court.

Defensively, the Penguins forced 16 Chemeketa turnovers and held the Storm to 27.3 percent shooting from three-point range, staying competitive even as shots were hard to come by on the offensive end. Clark finished with 11 assists and won several hustle categories that kept the game tight until the final horn.

Though the result didn't fall their way, the Penguins showed resilience, toughness, and depth in a game that demanded every ounce of effort—qualities that continue to define Clark as conference play pushes forward.
