Coos Bay, OR - Clark College men's basketball put together a strong all-around offensive performance, but Southwestern Oregon used a late push to pull away for an 82–76 win.
The Penguins shot an efficient 46.7 percent from the field and 35 percent from three-point range while converting 13 of 14 free throws, keeping them within striking distance throughout the night. Clark placed five players in double figures and shared the ball effectively with 17 assists.
Ari Richardson led the way with 19 points, knocking down three three-pointers and adding three assists while playing 39 minutes. Zion Milare matched Richardson's scoring punch inside and out, finishing with 18 points on 7-of-14 shooting and four assists.
Tristan Pratt delivered a gritty performance in the paint, recording a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds while also handing out four assists in 40 minutes. Noah Tostovrsnik was highly efficient, scoring 12 points on 5-of-6 shooting, and Micah Gentry added 10 points and four assists to round out Clark's balanced attack.
Clark battled on the glass and held Southwestern Oregon close for most of the contest, but the Lakers' 47.1 percent shooting from beyond the arc and a 26-assist night proved to be the difference down the stretch.
Despite the result, the Penguins showed depth, efficiency, and resilience, with contributions across the lineup and strong execution on the offensive end as they continue to build momentum moving forward.
