Box Score LAKEWOOD, Wash. – Clark College's men's soccer team controlled every aspect of play Wednesday afternoon but came away with only a 0-0 draw against Pierce College in NWAC action at Heritage Field.
The Penguins (0-0-2, 0-0-2 NWAC) peppered the Raiders' net with 21 shots, including 10 on target, while limiting Pierce to zero shots for the entire 90 minutes. Despite the one-sided pressure, Clark couldn't find a breakthrough past Pierce goalkeeper Nathan Bidinger, who finished with 10 saves to secure the shutout.
Freshman forward Julio Mondragon was particularly active up front, firing four shots—three on goal—while midfielder Lucas Mallett added six attempts, forcing three saves. Isaiah Bunda and Kaito Thammavong also tested Bidinger with shots on target.
Clark goalkeeper Glenn Kolibas earned the clean sheet without recording a save, as the Penguins' backline kept Pierce without a single attempt all afternoon.
The Penguins generated eight corner kicks compared to just two for Pierce and forced the Raiders into eight fouls.
Despite their dominance in possession and scoring chances, the Penguins were left frustrated by the scoreboard.
After two matches on the road, the Penguins celebrate their home opener on Saturday at 12pm versus Centralia at Kim Christiansen Field on the campus of Clark College.
