TACOMA, WA — A pair of late goals lifted Clark College to a dramatic 2–1 road win over Tacoma on Wednesday afternoon in NWAC men's soccer action.
After a scoreless first half, the Penguins broke through in the 86th minute when Tymathe Prince found the back of the net off an assist from Hulises Najera. Just two minutes later, Prince turned provider, setting up Travis O'Hara, who doubled Clark's advantage with a clinical finish in the 88th minute.
Tacoma pushed desperately in the final moments and managed to pull one back in stoppage time through Taylor Duffek, but Clark's defense held firm after that to secure the victory.
Goalkeeper Patrick Murphy came up huge for the Penguins, recording seven saves—six of them in the second half—to keep Tacoma off the board until the final moments of the match.
Clark finished with 14 shots, seven on goal, while Tacoma tallied 17 attempts, forcing Murphy into several key stops. The Penguins also earned seven corner kicks compared to Tacoma's three.
The win showcased Clark's resilience, with the team staying disciplined until the late breakthrough. O'Hara led the attack with three shots, while Prince made the most of his 10 minutes on the pitch, notching both a goal and an assist to seal the match.
