VANCOUVER, Wash. - Clark Men delivered a commanding performance on the road Wednesday night, defeating Clackamas 77-60 to improve to 16-6 overall and 8-2 in conference play. A balanced offensive attack and dominance in the paint propelled the Penguins to victory, controlling the game from start to finish.
Clark set the tone early, taking a 35-21 lead into halftime behind efficient scoring and tenacious defense. The team extended its advantage in the second half, with a 42-point effort that kept Clackamas at bay. Clark capitalized on second-chance opportunities, outscoring Clackamas 15-3 in that category while also forcing 15 turnovers.
Leading the charge was
Theo McMillan, who posted a double-double with 20 points, 12 rebounds, and four steals, playing a crucial role on both ends of the court.
Anthony Sprauer matched McMillan with 20 points of his own while contributing eight rebounds.
Jackson Esary also made a significant impact, finishing with 15 points and eight rebounds.
Clark's defensive pressure was a key factor, recording 11 steals and limiting Clackamas to just 21.1% shooting from three-point range. Despite Clackamas' attempts to rally, Clark maintained control by converting 79.3% of its free throws and dominating the rebounding battle 48-31.
With this victory, Clark strengthens its position in the conference standings. The team will look to build on this momentum in its next matchup as it continues its push toward postseason play.
