GRESHAM, Ore. — The Clark Penguins delivered a dominant performance on Wednesday night, overwhelming the Mt. Hood Saints 83-28.

Clark (11-13, 3-8) set the tone early, outscoring Mt. Hood (1-18, 0-12) by a 46-11 margin in the first half, effectively putting the game out of reach before the break. The Penguins' relentless defense forced 40 turnovers, leading to 44 points off those miscues.

Payton Allen led the charge with 18 points, knocking down four three-pointers, while Jayda Jackson controlled the boards with 10 rebounds to go along with 12 points. Ella Botnar also made her presence felt inside, recording a game-high 13 rebounds and adding eight points.

Clark's defensive pressure was suffocating, as the team racked up an impressive 28 steals. Promise Bond contributed five steals while also chipping in eight points and four assists. The Penguins dominated the paint, outscoring Mt. Hood 46-12 in that area.

The Saints struggled to find any offensive rhythm, shooting just 19.3% from the field (11-of-57) and 12.5% from beyond the arc. Alex Rowley led Mt. Hood with eight points and nine rebounds, while Lisa Hartwich added seven points, 11 rebounds, and six blocks in a solid defensive effort.

Clark continued to extend its lead in the second half, capping the night with a game-high 55-point advantage in the fourth quarter. The Penguins' bench contributed significantly, accounting for 37 points.
