Penguins Drop Final Game of NWAC Crossover

Clark College put together a strong offensive performance Sunday afternoon but came up just short in an 88–82 neutral-site loss to Walla Walla at Olympic College.

The Penguins shot efficiently throughout the game, finishing at 44.3 percent from the field and an impressive 46.7 percent from three-point range, while knocking down 21 of 25 free throws. Clark led or was tied for much of a tightly contested first half, heading into the break deadlocked at 42–42.

Micah Gentry paced Clark with a game-high 29 points, connecting on five three-pointers and going 8-for-10 at the free-throw line. Tristan Pratt delivered a double-double with 18 points and 12 rebounds, anchoring the paint on both ends, while Ari Richardson added 14 points, nine rebounds and five assists in an all-around effort. Zion Milare chipped in 13 points and five assists as Clark recorded 18 assists on 27 made field goals.

The Penguins continued to battle in the second half, matching Walla Walla basket for basket and keeping the margin within single digits down the stretch. Clark's ball movement and perimeter shooting helped the Penguins stay within striking distance, but Walla Walla's bench production and timely three-point shooting proved decisive late.

Despite the setback, Clark showed balance and resilience, placing four players in double figures and limiting turnovers to nine for the game. The Penguins move forward encouraged by their offensive execution and team play as they continue the non-conference portion of the schedule.
