VANCOUVER, Wash. - Clark College men's basketball opened the 2025–26 season in commanding fashion Friday night, rolling to a 102–70 victory over Oregon Club at Kings Way High School.
The Penguins came out firing, putting up 62 first-half points and never looking back behind a balanced, high-energy performance on both ends of the floor. Clark shot an impressive 53.8% from the field while out-rebounding Oregon Club 53–29.
Ari Richardson led the offensive charge, pouring in a game-high 26 points on a blistering 7-of-11 shooting from three-point range. The freshman guard added six rebounds, four steals and two assists in a standout season-opening performance.
Tristan Pratt powered Clark in the paint, notching a 24-point, 10-rebound double-double on 10-of-22 shooting. His relentless activity on the boards helped Clark control possession throughout the night.
The Penguins' dominance inside continued with Noah Tostovrsnik, who delivered a monster 17-rebound, 11-point showing while adding five assists and a block. Clark recorded 14 offensive rebounds as a team, generating multiple second-chance opportunities.
Sophomore guard Micah Gentry added 20 points, six rebounds and a team-high seven assists, orchestrating the offense with efficiency and poise.
Clark's defense held Oregon Club to 41.8% shooting and forced 11 turnovers, turning several of them into transition buckets during a defining first-half run.
Eight different Penguins scored, and four reached double figures as Clark eclipsed the 100-point mark in its first outing of the season.
The Penguins (1–0) look to build on the impressive opener as they continue non-conference play next week this week in Des Moines, Washington as they attend Green River's Swamp Classic.
