CENTRALIA, Wash. — Clark College men's soccer officially punched its ticket to the postseason for the fifth consecutive year on Saturday afternoon, powering past Centralia College in a dominant 4-0 road victory.
The Penguins wasted no time setting the tone, erupting for three first-half goals behind relentless attacking pressure. Sophomore forward Pablo Barbosa-Sanchez led the way with a brace, netting goals in the 14th and 22nd minutes to give Clark an early cushion they would never relinquish. His second came off a perfectly-placed service from Hakim Keita, capping off a sharp build-up in the midfield.
Less than a minute after Barbosa-Sanche's opener, Isaiah Bunda doubled the lead in the 16th minute, finishing a feed from Travis O'Hara to make it 2-0. Clark carried a 3-0 advantage into halftime behind 15 first-half shots and complete possession control.
The Penguins continued to apply pressure after the break, adding a fourth tally in the 60th minute when Evan Roscoe scored off an assist from Hazim Huskic. Clark finished with 26 total shots, including 18 on frame, showcasing their attacking depth and creativity across all lines.
On the defensive end, Clark recorded a complete-team shutout while limiting Centralia to just six total shots and only two on goal. Goalkeeper Patrick Murphy secured the clean sheet with a pair of saves, including a pivotal stop on a penalty kick in the 67th minute that preserved the shutout.
With the win, Clark improves to 8-2-3 in conference play and locks up its fifth straight postseason appearance, reinforcing the program's status as a perennial NWAC playoff contender.
The Penguins will take advantage of the break in their schedule before traveling to top seeded Highline on October 29th.
