Men’s Soccer Shuts Out Pierce, 2–0

VANCOUVER, Wash. — October 15, 2025 — The Clark College men's soccer team controlled play from start to finish in a 2–0 victory over Pierce College on Wednesday afternoon at Kim Christensen Field. The win improved the Penguins' record to 7-2-3 overall and 7-2-3 in NWAC West Region play.

Clark wasted no time asserting themselves offensively, outshooting Pierce 22–2 on the day and putting 13 shots on goal. Sophomore forward Hulises Najera opened the scoring in the ninth minute, netting his fifth goal of the season off an assist from Hakim Keita. The Penguins doubled their lead just before halftime when Tymathe Prince found the back of the net in the 45th minute, assisted by Ian Catarina-Cruz.

The Penguins' back line was steady throughout, limiting the Raiders to just two shots — both saved by goalkeeper Patrick Murphy, who earned the clean sheet in goal. Clark's defense, anchored by Isaiah Bunda, Javaughn McRae, and Hakim Keita, allowed no corner kicks and kept constant pressure on Pierce's attacking attempts.

Najera led Clark with six shots, including four on goal, while Bunda added three on target. The Penguins tallied eight corner kicks to Pierce's zero, reflecting their consistent territorial dominance.

With the win, Clark continues its strong home form as the regular season enters its final stretch. The Penguins return to action this weekend when they travel to Centralia 2-13 (2-9 WEST).
