Volleyball Battles Hard in Road Loss at Linn Benton

October 10, 2025 – Albany, OR

Clark College showed resilience on the road Friday night, pushing through tough rallies in a straight-sets loss (15-25, 17-25, 15-25) to Linn-Benton at the LBCC Activities Center. Despite the final scoreline, the Penguins displayed consistent effort across all three sets and saw several standout individual performances.

Sophomore, Kylie Miller, led the Penguins offensively, recording a team-high 12 kills on an impressive .522 hitting percentage, while adding a solo block and 13 total points. Setter Taylee Wilson was instrumental in facilitating the offense, tallying 18 assists and contributing eight digs and two kills of her own.

On the defensive side, Emelynn Cecil anchored the back row with 12 digs while also adding three assists and an ace. Gabriela Sideris chipped in with seven digs, and Mia Hicks-Oliver recorded three kills, three digs, and a block. Abigail Heberle was efficient at the net, posting five kills on .143 hitting, and Sophia Martin added three kills in limited action.

As a team, Clark totaled 27 kills on a .140 hitting percentage, along with 35 digs, three service aces, and two team blocks.

The loss drops Clark to 6-14 overall (2-5 NWAC South), while Linn-Benton improves to 15-5 and 6-2 in conference play.
