Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Men's Soccer Dominates Chemeketa 4-0 in Home Opener

Vancouver, WA - In a commanding performance, Clark College's men's soccer team secured a decisive 4-0 victory over Chemeketa Community College on Wednesday evening. The game, played at Clark's home turf, saw the hosts dominate from start to finish.

The scoring opened early for Clark, with Randy Valdivia netting the first goal in the 10th minute off an assist from Abraham Alvarez-Cast. Christian Silva doubled the lead in the 30th minute, connecting with JP Warnell to put Clark up 2-0. Just before halftime, Alvarez-Cast returned the favor to Valdivia, setting up his goal in the 37th minute to make it 3-0.

The second half continued in much the same vein, with JP Warnell adding a fourth goal for Clark in the 72nd minute, assisted by Trenten Harker. Despite Chemeketa's efforts, including several substitutions and tactical adjustments, they were unable to break through Clark's defense and goalkeeper Jake Bilsborough, who made crucial saves to preserve the clean sheet.

Chemeketa struggled to match Clark's offensive prowess and found themselves on the back foot for most of the match.

Overall, Clark's dominant performance highlighted their strong start to the season, maintaining their unbeaten record with this win. Chemeketa will look to regroup and learn from this match as they prepare for their next fixture.

Next up the penguins (2-0-0, 2-0-0) will host Rogue (1-1-0, 3-4-0) at home Saturday, September 14th with a 12:00pm kickoff.
