Max Baeder signs Letter of Intent with Evergreen State College

VANCOUVER, Wash. - Clark College Cross Country and Track is excited to announce that freshman Max Baeder (Port Angeles HS, Port Angeles, WA) has signed to further his academic and athletic career at Evergreen State College. ESC, located in Olympia, Washington, is a program on the rise under new Head Coach, Joel Pearson. Max will be joining a Men's team full of high level additions for 2024 as the Geoducks look to qualify for the NAIA National Championships.

Evergreen is gaining one of the best Men's Cross Country athletes in Clark College history. Baeder ran one of ten fastest 8K times in Clark history on his way to being named First Team All-Southern Region and NWAC All-American in Cross Country this fall. Prior to Clark, Baeder was twice a Top 20 finisher at the WIAA State Cross Country Championships for Port Angeles High School.

Penguin head coach Owen Frasier was happy to see Max join the program at Evergreen State. "Max has done everything right since he's been at Clark. He's worked incredibly hard, been a great teammate, and obviously had a ton of success on the course. We hope he sets some more records on the track this spring before he heads off to start his career as a Geoduck. We wish him all the very best at Evergreen State!"

Congratulations Max! Thank you for everything you have done for Clark. We're excited for your next step!
