Penguin Distance Runner Heading North

Soleil Bianchi commits to Evergreen State University

VANCOUVER, Wash. - Clark College Cross Country and Track is excited to announce that Sophomore Soleil Bianchi (White River HS, Buckley, WA) has committed to further her academic and athletic career at Evergreen State College. ESC, located in Olympia, Washington, is a program on the rise under new head coach Joel Pearson that is headed for a breakout season in 2025. The addition of Bianchi will be a big help in their quest to make the NAIA National Championships next fall.

Evergreen is gaining an absolute future star in Bianchi. As a freshman in 2023, Bianchi earned First Team All-Southern Region honors in cross country after running a personal best time of 19:55 to finish fifth overall. She was a big part of Clark's team Southern Region Championship! On the track, Bianchi was an All-American at the 10K distance and also earned All-Conference honors in the 1500 meters as well. Her range was also on display with her runner-up finish at the Southern Region Championships in the 800 meters. After redshirting this cross country season, Bianchi will return to track with a lot to prove and eager to earn another spot on the All-American Team.

Congratulations Soleil! Thank you for everything you have done for Clark. We're excited for your next step!
