LONGVIEW, Wash - Clark College bounced back from yesterday's loss with a decisive 75-43 victory against Shoreline Community College in a non-conference matchup. Both teams entered Myklebust Gym looking to gain momentum, but Clark's balanced offensive attack and stifling defense proved too much for the visitors.
Dominant Performance from Clark
Clark's offense clicked from the start, with Jayda Jackson leading the charge. The guard posted an impressive 17 points on 8-of-15 shooting while contributing 5 assists and 3 steals. Forward Emily Peabody added a double-double with 11 points and 9 rebounds, while Ella Botnar chipped in 10 points off the bench.
Clark's ball movement was a standout feature, with 20 team assists highlighting their ability to create open shots. Defensively, the team was relentless, forcing 30 turnovers and recording 24 steals.
Shoreline's Struggles
Shoreline battled valiantly, with Taimane Faleafine-Auwae emerging as their top performer. She registered a double-double of her own with 14 points and 11 rebounds. Jocelyn Shea also scored 14 points but committed 11 turnovers under Clark's defensive pressure.
Despite Faleafine-Auwae's efforts in the paint, the Dolphins struggled to find consistency, shooting just 28.6% from the field and going 0-for-5 from beyond the arc.
