LONGVIEW, Wash. - In an intense contest held at the Myklebust Gymnasium, the Bellevue Bulldogs edged out the Clark Penguins with a final score of 65-59. The neutral-site game was marked by high energy, resilient defense, and critical plays from both teams.

Game Summary

Clark took an early lead in the first quarter, leveraging their defense to force turnovers and convert points in the paint. The Penguins led by as much as six during the period, driven by contributions from Mia Hicks-Oliver, who tallied a double-double with 16 points and 13 rebounds, and Jayda Jackson, who led all Clark scorers with 19 points.

Bellevue responded in the second quarter, improving their shooting accuracy and dominating the boards. Their offensive consistency allowed them to pull ahead, led by Ghadir Ramadan's 15 points and 13 rebounds, alongside Aysha Peter, who contributed 16 points and hit three crucial three-pointers.

The Bulldogs opened the third quarter with a sharp 24-point performance, their best scoring period, fueled by Myana Calloway's two three-pointers and Devynn Warns' drives to the basket. The Penguins struggled to contain Bellevue's balanced attack, despite strong individual efforts.

In the final quarter, Clark clawed back with an aggressive defensive push, forcing critical turnovers. Hicks-Oliver and Jackson kept Clark within striking distance, combining for 11 fourth-quarter points. However, Bellevue's ability to convert free throws—shooting 61.3% from the line—proved decisive in sealing the victory.
