Clark College Narrowly Falls to Grays Harbor in a Heartbreaking Finish

Recapping tonight's action against Grays Harbor

VANCOUVER, Wash. - In a closely contested matchup at home, Clark College came up just short against Grays Harbor, losing by a single point, 82-81. The game was a tale of two halves as the Penguins raced to a strong first-half performance, leading 50-36 at halftime, but couldn't hold off a relentless comeback from the Chokers.

Key Performances by Clark College:
  • Terrell Moorer Jr. led the Penguins with 21 points and seven rebounds, showcasing his versatile scoring and determination in the paint.
  • Theo McMillan added 20 points on an efficient 9-for-15 shooting and contributed five rebounds.
  • Jackson Esary was impactful with 17 points, seven rebounds, and two three-pointers, providing valuable support throughout the contest.
Clark excelled early, outscoring Grays Harbor in the paint with 30 points and taking advantage of second-chance opportunities with 12 points. However, Grays Harbor's accuracy from the field (44.1%) and their clutch free-throw shooting (93.8% from the line) allowed them to chip away at Clark's lead in the second half.

Despite the loss, Clark showed resilience and competitiveness, leaving a lot to build upon for future games.
