Clark College Falls Short in Close Battle with Edmonds College, 82-84

Recapping today's action at the East Crossover

VANCOUVER, Wash. - Clark College battled hard but came up just short in a thrilling matchup against Edmonds College, falling 82-84 in a game that came down to the wire. Despite strong individual performances, including a stellar effort from Terrell Moorer Jr., the Penguins couldn't overcome some cold shooting from beyond the arc and missed opportunities at the free-throw line.

Despite solid individual performances, Clark struggled as a team, shooting just 5.6% (1-of-18) from beyond the arc. This poor 3-point shooting performance proved to be a major hindrance, as Edmonds was able to capitalize on Clark's cold shooting from deep.

While Clark did a decent job of controlling the boards, winning the rebounding battle 37-41, their struggles in ball control (21 turnovers) and 3-point shooting ultimately cost them the game. Their defense was solid but unable to prevent Edmonds from executing when it mattered most, especially in the final minutes.

With Clark down by two points in the final minute, a missed 3-point attempt by Jackson Esary followed by a crucial Edmonds free throw sealed the win for the Tritons. Clark had a chance to tie the game, but their long-range shooting woes prevented a successful comeback.

Clark College will look to bounce back in their next game as they prepare for another tough test. Despite the loss, the team showed resilience and heart throughout the game, and they will aim to build on the positives moving forward.
