Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Clark Remains Undefeated with 3-0 Win at Centralia

Centralia College hosted an intense soccer match where Clark College emerged triumphant with a convincing 3-0 win.

Clark College took control early in the game, with JP Warnell opening the scoring in the 7th minute. Randy Valdivia provided the assist, setting up Warnell for a precise finish that beat Centralia's goalkeeper Neftali Arellano. Clark continued to dominate possession and shots on goal in the first half, but Arellano's 12 saves kept Centralia within striking distance.

The second half saw Clark extend their lead in the 58th minute when Christian Silva capitalized on a pass from Trenten Harker, firing a shot into the net to make it 2-0. Centralia struggled to generate offensive opportunities against Clark's solid defense, anchored by goalkeeper Dennis Zimmer who made critical saves when tested.

As the game approached its closing stages, Clark sealed their victory with Abraham Alvarez-Castro finding the back of the net in the 82nd minute, once again assisted by Randy Valdivia. Despite Arellano's impressive 19 saves for Centralia, he couldn't prevent Alvarez-Castro's well-placed shot from extending Clark's lead to 3-0.

The match, highlighted Clark College's offensive prowess, outshooting Centralia 29-5 over the course of the game. Centralia struggled to gain momentum, managing only 4 shots on target against Clark's defense.

With this decisive win, Clark College's men's soccer team continues to build momentum in their season, demonstrating their capability to dominate on both ends of the field.

Next up, the men head to Tacoma (5-8-1, 5-4-1) in a rematch, which if anything like the first time the teams faced each other, should be a great match for both programs.  Kickoff is set for 4:15pm.
