Baseball Walks Away Victorious Over Grays Harbor in Game 1 Sunday

VANCOUVER, Wash. - Clark College Penguins wins contest against Grays Harbor, 6-2

Clark got things started in the second inning, when Carter Monda singled.

Mike Miller pitched the penguins to victory. The southpaw went six innings, allowing zero runs on four hits and striking out five. Spencer McGuire and Nolan Hines entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. McGuire recorded the last seven outs to earn the save for Clark.

Scheuber took the loss for the chokers. The pitcher went four innings, allowing five runs on eight hits and striking out five.

Clark racked up ten hits. Caden Parker, Josh Schleichardt, and Canon Humphreys each managed multiple hits for the penguins. Parker went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Clark in hits.

Roundy led Grays Harbor with two hits in three at bats. The Chokers were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Erickson had the most chances in the field with ten.
