Justin Willis - Moving On

Clark Baseball Announces Latest 4-Year Signing

Justin Willis commits to Saint Peter's University

VANCOUVER, Wash. – The Penguins are proud to announce that Justin Willis, from Calgary, Alberta, has become the 60th player to sign on at the four-year level in the six seasons under Clark College Head Coach Mark Magdaleno.

"Willy came to us as an athlete that played baseball. He made himself a baseball player. He worked at his trade.  His dream was to play college baseball in the United States, and he worked to make his dream come true. That's what makes his story so great. He had to work at it and I love that fact that everything he is getting is because he made it happen. He has been positive influence in the clubhouse and on the field. He will pay dividends for Saint Peters. We got the player and the man that we thought we were getting when we recruited him and I am confident that he will help the Peacocks make a run in the MAAC," Magdaleno said.

Willis has accepted a scholarship offer from Saint Peter's University, Jersey City, New Jersey. Saint Peter's University is a NCAA Division 1 program, and the Peacocks compete in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC).

"Clark has been an incredible experience for me. The support of Coach Mags and the entire coaching staff, along with the brotherhood I share with my teammates has made my time here unforgettable. I have learned so much about how to become a better baseball player and most importantly a better person off the field. I have made so many close friendships with plenty of teammates, who I have had the honor of competing with every day. I will miss the memories I have made here, but there is still a job we must finish. I am excited to have the opportunity to finish my final years a Penguin with Coach Mags and my brothers while battling for a playoff opportunity. I am very thankful to every teammate and coach who has helped me achieve my dream of playing college baseball at the Division 1 Level," Willis said.
