Clark College Penguins defeated Clackamas 12-2 on Tuesday after taking the lead late in the game. The game was tied at two with Clark College Penguins batting in the bottom of the fifth when
Josh Schleichardt doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.
Clark College Penguins were boosted by
Canon Humphreys who went 4-for-4 at the plate. Humphreys singled in the second, fifth, fifth, and seventh innings.
The Penguins captured the lead in the second inning, scoring one run on a stolen base.
Brayden Youkon earned the victory on the mound for Clark. The righty allowed zero hits and zero runs over two innings, striking out three and walking one.
Braeden Getch and
Riley Miller entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.
Clark tallied 13 hits in the game. Humphreys,
Caden Parker, and
Jewell Williams each had multiple hits for the Penguins. Humphreys went 4-for-4 at the plate, leading the team in hits. The Penguins were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Williams had the most chances in the field with nine.
