VANCOUVER, Wash. - Clark College had all cylinders firing on offense on Sunday, winning big over Yakima Valley, 11-1.
The penguins opened up scoring in the first inning, when an error scored one run for Clark.
Clark College scored four runs in the third inning. The penguins offense in the inning came from doubles by
Carter Monda and
Caden Parker and a single by
Nick Laurenza.
Mike Miller was on the hill for Clark College. The pitcher surrendered one run on four hits over five innings, striking out four.
Julian Abraham was on the mound for YVCC. The pitcher went three innings, allowing seven runs on six hits and striking out two. Dresden Tyler threw three innings out of the bullpen.
Clark College Penguins tallied ten hits in the game. Monda,
Taydem Neal, and
Canon Humphreys all had multiple hits for Clark. Humphreys, Neal, and Monda each managed two hits to lead the penguins.
Caleb Gray went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead YVCC in hits.
