ONTARIO, Ore. -
Taydem Neal was an RBI machine on Sunday, driving in five on two hits to lead Clark College Penguins past Treasure Valley, 18-4 on Sunday. Neal drove in runs on a single in the fourth and a single in the eighth.
The penguins secured the victory thanks to 11 runs in the eighth inning. The offensive firepower by Clark was led by
Canon Humphreys, Neal,
Carter Monda,
Caden Parker,
Josh Schleichardt, and
Charles Huntington, all knocking in runs in the inning.
Clark got things started in the first inning, scoring one run when Parker singled.
The penguins notched 9 runs in the eighth inning. Clark College's big bats in the inning were led by walks by Monda, Parker, and Huntington, singles by Humphreys and Neal, and an error on a ball put in play by Neal and Schleichardt.
Brayden Youkon got the win for Clark College Penguins . The righty lasted three innings, allowing three hits and one run while striking out two and walking zero.
Eddie Dwyer and
Nolan Hines entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.
Garner took the loss for TVCC. The pitcher went two innings, allowing six runs on four hits and striking out one.
Michael Miller started the game for Clark College Penguins . The lefthander lasted three and a third innings, allowing one hit and two runs while striking out five
Clark College Penguins racked up 10 hits. Monda, Neal, Parker, and
Xavier Gilmore all managed multiple hits for the penguins . Gilmore, Parker, Neal, and Monda each managed two hits to lead Clark. Clark College stole 11 bases during the game as four players stole more than one.
Taylor Langworthy led the way with two.
