S Janson

Sean Janson

Sean Janson became the Head Coach of the Women's Soccer program at Clark College in April 2014. Since then Clark has compiled an overall record of 47-13-15 which includes an impressive 37-5-11 in NWAC league play. Clark finished their 2016 and 2017 campaigns as the NWAC Southern Region Champions and finished third in NWAC Championship in 2017. Perhaps most impressive, Clark has not lost a league game since October 2014.

A Clark County native, Coach Janson is well known in the local soccer community and is the Executive Director of the Washington Timbers Football Club. He has coached high school (Fort Vancouver and Ridgefield), in the Evergreen Premier League (Vancouver Victory), premier (Washington Timbers), and recreational soccer (Vancouver Parks and Rec) in the Portland/Vancouver area. Coach Janson leverages his coaching expertise by volunteering his time throughout the community.  He has developed and staffed the Vancouver Police Activities League (PAL) Summer Soccer Camp, is the Founder of the Rose City Goalkeeper Clinic (a free resource for underprivileged kids in SE Portland), and routinely runs practice sessions for various clubs all over Clark County.  Due to his efforts in the community, Coach Janson was honored as one of the Vancouver Business Journal's 2014 Accomplished & Under 40.

Collegiately, Janson played goalkeeper at Concordia University in Portland, OR. He received his B.S. in Economics from Central Washington University and his M.B.A. from Portland State University.Â
