Wright joins the Penguins after initiating the first women's soccer program at Multnomah University, which she developed in less than six months. She served as the Head Women's Soccer Coach for 4 years at Multnomah.
Â
Prior her time at Multnomah, Wright spent two seasons with NCAA Division 2 Nyack College in Nyack, NY as an assistant coach. There she was responsible for the team's culture and developing the players in-line with the college's mission while focusing on developing each athlete as an individual. She also spent time recruiting for the program.
Â
Wright has also spent time coaching high school and youth soccer, spending time as the Head Women's Soccer Coach for Nyack High School as well as coaches for local clubs including Ramapo Valley Soccer Club and Rockland FC. Locally she has coached at Washington Timbers FC, Vancouver Victory FC, Eastside Timbers FC, and Portland Thorns ODP.

Originally hailing from Staten Island, NY, Wright graduated from Nyack College with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 2015, and in pursuit of a Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling. When asked about how she integrates her schooling into coaching, Wright said, "I will always prioritize the players as people first before as a player. Coaching is a big part of who I am as I feel my purpose in coaching has always been, wherever I coach, to lead young women into discovery of their true potential and purpose, to be a part of seeing strong, female leaders emerge from this next generation."
