Head Coach

In Pitfield's first season as head coach for the Penguins this fall, the team saw an increase of success on the offensive side of the ball scoring 19 goals on 135 shots which are both improvements from the previous season. At the end the season, the Penguins finished 5th in the southern region.

Darren Pitfield accepted the Head Coach position prior to the Fall 2018 season. Darren is no stranger to the Men’s Soccer program at Clark, having been part of the coaching staff for the past two-years. Pitfield came to Clark with a variety of local coaching under his belt. He was the assistant coach with the Portland Timbers U23 team in 2016 as well as a Region IV staff coach with US Soccer prior to that.

In addition, Pitfield has coached with many organizations including:

- Region IV Staff Coach for US Soccer.

- ODP Boys Head Coach for various teams since 2007.

- Head coach for various Portland Timbers youth teams over the past 5 years.

- Served as a Director in various large soccer clubs in the US.

- YTS Professional Player in the UK.

Pitfield is a graduate of Loughborough University in England. He has his Bachelor's of Science in Physical education and Sports Science and received his Master's of Science in Computer Science.
