Biography
High School Stats/Highlights/Accolades: Lance Nelson comes to Clark College after an incredibly successful run at Amity High School in Amitty, OR.  During Nelson’s Junior and Senior seasons, the 3-sport athlete averaged a double-double, notching totals of 21.6 pts/game, 11.3 rbs/game, 3.9 ast/game and 2.3 blks/game. For all his success, Nelson was named 1st Team All-League in the West Valley League his Sophomore, Junior and Senior seasons. A team captain during each of those campaigns, Nelson was named to the Oregon 3A 1st  Team All-State Team in both his Junior and Senior seasons. As a senior, Nelson was named the West Valley League’s Player of the Year Year, while guiding his team to a West Valley League District Championship and an overall record of 24-6. While Nelson had much to be proud of throughout his prep career, arguably his best performance may have come when scoring a career high of 38 points in the Oregon State Playoffs as a senior. The huge scoring output helped lead his squad to the a 3rd straight appearance at the Oregon State Tournament and was the 1st time in school history his team had made such a run.
