Ty comes to us with many years of playing and coaching experience all over the country. He is a graduate of Lower Columbia College, and University of Portland with playing involvement for both schools. He also played for Washington State University, the American Legions (Vancouver Cardinals), and Babe Ruth (Ryder Construction).Â
After playing, he decided to continue his career in coaching. From 2012-2013 he was the Head Softball Coach for our own Clark Penguins. Other than coaching for the Penguins, Ty had held other coaching positions for other teams including: Azusa Pacific University (1995-1997), University of Texas (1997-2000), Northwestern State University (2000-2002), University of Missouri (2002-2006), University of New Mexico (2006-2010), Lower Columbia College (2011), West Point United States Military Academy (2013-2014), Kings Way Christian School (2014-2017, Seton Catholic High School (2014-2017), and the Vancouver Cardinals, American Legion (2017).Â
Ty, with his wife Kristin, have two children, Riley (17) and Zach (14).Â
