The Clark College women's basketball team battled through a tough shooting night but showed grit and physicality in a hard-fought contest, leaning on rebounding and defensive effort to stay competitive until the final whistle.

Ashley Serna led the Penguins offensively, finishing with a team-high 13 points while also pulling down seven rebounds. Serna was aggressive attacking the basket and consistently looked to create scoring opportunities despite heavy defensive pressure.

Clark received balanced scoring from Mia Hicks-Oliver and Reaiah Hall, who each chipped in 11 points. Hicks-Oliver added eight rebounds and two steals, while Hall was active on the glass with seven rebounds and contributed two assists and two steals in 36 minutes.

The Penguins controlled the boards throughout the game, led by Emily Peabody, who turned in a strong interior performance with 13 rebounds, including nine on the offensive end, to go along with a block. Clark finished with a commanding 51–25 rebounding advantage, creating multiple second-chance opportunities.

Yazmin Rios provided a spark on both ends of the floor, totaling nine points, six rebounds, two steals, and two blocks, while April Cruz added defensive energy off the bench with three steals.

Defensively, Clark forced turnovers and competed possession by possession, finishing with 10 steals and holding firm in the paint despite the shooting struggles. The Penguins also capitalized at the free-throw line, knocking down 12 of 18 attempts.

While the shots didn't fall consistently, Clark's effort on the glass and defensive intensity highlighted the team's resilience and toughness as the Penguins continue to grind through the heart of the season.
