VANCOUVER, Wash. - Clark battled in a pair of offensive shootouts Saturday at Raines Field, falling 13-10 in game one and 11-10 in 10 innings in Game 2 to Treasure Valley. The Penguins pounded out 30 hits across the doubleheader and showed explosive run production in both contests.
Game 1: Clark Rallies with 10 Runs in 13-10 Loss
After falling behind 12-1 through four innings, Clark erupted for nine runs over the fifth and sixth innings to pull within striking distance.
Clark finished with 13 hits and 10 RBIs, highlighted by a huge day from the middle of the lineup:

Clark struck first in the bottom of the first when Bollman singled, stole second and third, and scored on a sacrifice fly by Purdom.
The biggest momentum swing came in the sixth inning. With two on, Berduo-Flores launched a three-run homer to left to cut the deficit to 12-9. Purdom followed immediately with a solo home run, bringing Clark within two at 12-10.
Earlier in the fifth, Clark strung together four runs on RBI hits from Berduo-Flores, Purdom, and Lawrence.
In the circle, Bollman provided a steady relief effort, tossing 3.1 innings of one-hit, scoreless ball with two strikeouts to keep Clark within reach late.
Game 2: 17-Hit Attack Comes Up Just Short in 10-Inning Heartbreaker
Game 2 turned into another offensive showcase, with Clark collecting 17 hits and forcing extra innings before falling 11-10.

Clark erased multiple deficits throughout the game. After trailing 7-2 early, the Penguins rallied with three runs in the fifth and three more in the sixth to tie the game at 9-9.
