Clark Shuts Out Grays Harbor 3-0 Behind Two Goals from Bella Rodriguez

Aberdeen, Wash. — October 14, 2026 — Clark women's soccer delivered a dominant performance Wednesday, defeating Grays Harbor 3-0 on the road behind two goals from Bella Rodriguez and a strong defensive effort that secured the Penguins' shutout.

Clark (4-4-3) controlled the match from the opening whistle, finishing with 29 shots, including 17 on goal, while limiting Grays Harbor (0-12-0) to just one shot throughout the contest.

Rodriguez put the Penguins on the board in the 15th minute, finishing a pass from Ava Nichols at 14:08 to give Clark a 1-0 advantage. Just three minutes later, Rodriguez struck again, extending the lead to 2-0 at 17:08 and giving the Penguins early control of the match.

Rodriguez led Clark's offensive attack with 11 shots, six on goal and two goals. Her performance helped fuel a relentless offensive effort as the Penguins continued to pressure the Grays Harbor defense throughout both halves.

Clark carried its 2-0 lead into halftime after outshooting Grays Harbor 10-0 in the opening 45 minutes. Sidney Mazemke contributed three shots, all on goal, during the first half, while the Penguins created additional opportunities through their possession and attacking pressure.

The Penguins continued their offensive momentum after the break, recording 19 shots in the second half and earning seven corner kicks after the interval. Clark finished the match with eight corner kicks overall, compared with none for Grays Harbor.

Taylor Anderson added the final goal in the 67th minute, finishing a scoring opportunity at 66:59 to push the Penguins' lead to 3-0. Anderson recorded two shots, both on target, including the goal that sealed the victory.

Clark's offensive production extended beyond its goal scorers. Isabel McCauley recorded four shots, including two on goal, while Ana Garling added three shots and put two on target. Mazemke finished with three shots, all on goal, and Lainey Haden contributed three attempts.

Defensively, the Penguins kept Grays Harbor from generating sustained offensive pressure. Goalkeeper Eleanor Allison played all 90 minutes, making one save to preserve the shutout. Clark's back line, anchored by Lauren Adams and Gabby Suarez, each played the full match as the Penguins limited the hosts to just one shot.

Clark goalkeeper Allison and the defense helped complete a comprehensive performance, with the Penguins holding Grays Harbor without a goal for the full 90 minutes.

With the 3-0 victory, Clark will look to continue their battle for post-season opportunities.  They will host Highline (6-1-5, 7-2-5) on Saturday at Kim Christensen Field on the campus of Clark College.  Kickoff is set for 12:00pm.
