Penguins Survive Linn Benton in Overtime

PORTLAND - Clark College leaned on balance, toughness, and late-game execution to pull out an 84–76 win over Linn-Benton on Wednesday, using a strong overtime and clutch free-throw shooting to secure the home victory.

Ari Richardson powered the Penguins with a game-high 24 points, filling up the stat sheet with 12 rebounds and five assists while playing all 45 minutes. The sophomore guard set the tone offensively, knocking down three triples and repeatedly attacking the lane when Clark needed momentum.

Tristan Pratt delivered a dominant two-way performance in the paint, finishing with 16 points, 11 rebounds, and a career-high five blocks. Pratt's rim protection proved critical down the stretch as Linn-Benton tried to rally, turning away multiple possessions in the final minutes.

Noah Tostovrsnik added a double-double of his own with 17 points and 12 rebounds, giving Clark a steady interior presence and second-chance opportunities. Micah Gentry chipped in 12 points, including two three-pointers, while Zion Milare provided an early spark with seven points in limited minutes.

Clark shot an efficient 45.3 percent from the field and 38.1 percent from beyond the arc, using ball movement and spacing to counter Linn-Benton's pressure defense. The Penguins also won the battle on the glass, matching the Roadrunners with 43 rebounds and limiting second-chance looks late.

Linn-Benton was led by Kaiden Ford's 21 points and Gabe Townsend's 15, but Clark's defensive discipline and 18 made free throws sealed the outcome in the closing moments.

With the win, Clark continues to build momentum as conference play approaches, showcasing depth, composure, and the ability to close out tight games. They remain in first place in the South Region with a record of 7-1.
