VANCOUVER, Wash. -
Game 1 - Despite a promising start, Clark College couldn't hold off a relentless Pierce College offense on Friday, ultimately falling 19–4 at home in a game where the Penguins struggled to contain the Raiders' explosive bats.
Clark jumped out to an early 4–1 lead in the third inning, highlighted by an RBI single from Quentin Anguay and a clutch 3-RBI base hit from Jase Pashales. But that early energy quickly faded as Pierce responded with a six-run fourth inning and never looked back.
Pitching woes plagued the Penguins. Starter Evan McGuire held strong early but was tagged for five earned runs over four innings. Things unraveled quickly from there, with the Clark bullpen allowing 13 more runs over the final four innings, including two home runs in a devastating eight-run eighth.
Offensively, Clark was limited to just six hits. Pashales led the way with a 2-for-3 performance and three RBIs. Kaiden Hernandez reached base twice and scored a run, and Anguay added a single and stolen base.
Defensively, miscues added to Clark's struggles, as the team committed four errors and allowed several unearned runs that extended innings for Pierce.
Pierce was led by Cameron Hale, who went 3-for-5 with five RBIs, including a grand slam in the eighth. Eight of the nine Raiders starters recorded hits, and all nine scored at least once. In total, Pierce racked up 18 hits and 19 runs, capitalizing on every Clark misstep.
With the loss, Clark will look to regroup before the next matchup, aiming to tighten up defensively and get more consistency from the mound.

Game 2 - The Clark College Penguins bounced back in a big way on Saturday, riding a five-run first inning and a stellar pitching performance from Tyler Ramelli to a commanding 12–4 victory over the visiting Pierce College Raiders.
After falling behind 3–0 in the top of the first, Clark wasted no time responding. The Penguins erupted for five runs in the bottom half of the inning, taking advantage of two costly errors by the Pierce infield. Timely hits from Trevin Long, Quentin Anguay, and Jack Phillips fueled the rally, with Evan McGuire driving in two runs on a misplayed ground ball to first.
Clark kept the pressure on, adding runs in the second, third, fifth, and sixth innings. Kaiden Hernandez went 3-for-5 with an RBI and two stolen bases, while Kobin Mullins continued his hot hitting, going 2-for-3 with two RBIs. Anguay added three RBIs and a stolen base, while Andrew Israel set the tone from the top of the lineup, scoring three times and swiping a bag.
Meanwhile, Ramelli was in full command on the mound. The right-hander went the distance, allowing just five hits and four runs while striking out one over seven innings. He faced 30 batters and navigated early trouble with poise, including a solo homer by Joel Fernandez in the seventh, which was Pierce's only run after the first inning.
Defensively, the Penguins were sharp and supportive of Ramelli, committing no errors and limiting opportunities for extra bases.
Clark improves its standing in conference play with the win, showing resilience and balance on both sides of the ball after a tough loss earlier in the day.
