VANCOUVER, Wash. — Game 1 - The Clark Penguins came out swinging Saturday afternoon, overpowering Centralia with a 13-3 victory in Game 1 at Kindsfather Field.
The Penguins wasted no time, jumping out to an early lead with three runs in the first inning and never looking back. Clark piled on six more runs in the third, putting the game out of reach by the midway point.
Leading the offensive barrage for Clark was Kaiden Hernandez, who delivered a monster game at the plate. Hernandez went 2-for-3 with a double, a triple, four RBIs, and a walk, posting an eye-popping 1.667 slugging percentage. His extra-base hits were key in Clark's big innings, driving in multiple runs and keeping the pressure on Centralia's pitchers.
In addition to Hernandez, Kobin Mullins had a strong showing, scoring three times and driving in four runs on a pair of hits. Evan McGuire added a two-run home run to cap Clark's offensive fireworks.
The Penguins showcased an aggressive approach, drawing three walks and getting hit by pitches eight times, helping to load the bases and extend innings. On the base paths, Clark stole four bases, with Andrew Israel swiping three of them himself.
On the mound, Tyler Ramelli kept Centralia at bay, allowing just six hits and three runs (two earned) over a complete-game seven innings. He struck out two and induced 10 groundouts, keeping the Trailblazers off balance all afternoon.

Leadoff hitter Andrew Israel sparked the offense with a two-hit day, including a triple, while Trevin Long drove in two runs and swiped two bases. Clark showed off its depth at the plate with nine hits and seven different players either scoring or driving in a run.
On the mound, Evan McGuire delivered a complete game gem. The sophomore right-hander scattered six hits and struck out seven over seven innings, working around a few tough spots to earn the win and improve to 2-3 on the season. McGuire allowed five earned runs but was in command for much of the afternoon, throwing 72 strikes in 103 pitches.
