TWIN FALLS, Idaho -
Game 1 - Clark College staged a late-game comeback to defeat the College of Southern Idaho 5-4 on the road. The Penguins capitalized on key offensive moments, with
Quentin Anguay delivering the go-ahead home run in the seventh inning to secure the victory.
Clark trailed 3-1 in the fifth before rallying with two runs to tie the game. Anguay's heroics in the seventh, along with an RBI single from Ryo Taguchi, sealed the win. Anguay finished with three hits, two RBIs, and a stolen base, while Taguchi added two hits and an RBI. The Penguins also received solid contributions from Jase Pashales, who had two hits and scored a key run, and Maddux Stahl, who reached base twice and played stellar defense in center field.
On the mound, Taylor Langworthy started the game, pitching 4.2 innings and allowing four runs while striking out seven. Terrance Cheyne entered in relief and shut down CSI's offense, earning the win with two innings of scoreless work. Travis Gibson closed the game for the save, working out of a jam in the final inning to secure a hard-fought victory for Clark.
The win improved Clark's record to 3-2 on the season, providing a confidence boost as they continue their early non-conference schedule.

Game 2 - Clark College fell short in a 3-1 loss to the College of Southern Idaho, struggling to generate offense against a dominant pitching performance from Southern Idaho's Yates, who struck out 14 batters in a complete-game effort.
Clark's lone run came in the second inning when Anguay drove in Kody Hernandez after a walk and a balk. However, the Penguins managed only two hits in the game, failing to capitalize on scoring opportunities. Landon Criste and Jase Pashales recorded Clark's only hits, while the lineup collectively struck out 14 times, unable to solve Yates' command on the mound.
Despite the offensive struggles, Clark's pitching staff kept the game within reach. Luke Woolcott delivered a solid five-inning outing, allowing three runs while striking out five. Tyler Ramelli was lights-out in relief, tossing three scoreless innings with four strikeouts. Defensively, Clark turned two double plays, helping limit damage and keep the game close.
Clark now looks to bounce back as they continue their road stretch. The Penguins will aim to regain their offensive rhythm in the final games of the series series, hoping to build on the positives from their pitching performances.
