PORTLAND — Clark College overpowered Oregon Club on Wednesday night at Portland Community College, riding a dominant rebounding effort and a monster second half to secure an 89–55 neutral-site victory.
After leading 35–30 at halftime, the Penguins blew the game open with a 54-point second half, overwhelming Oregon Club with interior scoring, second-chance points, and a pair of unstoppable performances in the front court.
Clark's frontcourt duo of Tristan Pratt and Noah Tostovrsnik fueled the rout. Pratt was nearly perfect around the rim, pouring in 22 points on 11-of-16 shooting while grabbing 11 rebounds. Tostovrsnik was just as dominant, finishing with a game-high 23 points, 16 rebounds, and 3 blocks, controlling the paint on both ends. The pair combined for 45 points and 27 rebounds—more than Oregon Club produced as an entire team on the glass. Clark dominated the rebounding margin 59–22, including 21 offensive boards, leading to 26 second-chance points and a punishing 60 points in the paint.
Clark's guards complemented the interior attack with efficient play making and defense.
– Micah Gentry chipped in 9 points, 5 assists, 4 rebounds, and a steal.
– Jaydon Hall added 9 points and 3 assists.
– Ari Richardson posted 5 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists.
– Samuel Malm provided a spark off the bench with 9 points and 4 boards.
In total, Clark flashed impressive depth with 26 bench points.
Tostovrsnik made an immediate impact, scoring Clark's first basket and then pulling down consecutive offensive rebounds to set up an and-one finish. His early energy helped Clark stretch a 10-point lead midway through the first half. Oregon Club kept the margin tight thanks to hot shooting from Kellen Kinder and Ty Softman, who combined for 22 first-half points, but Clark's overwhelming presence on the boards kept the Penguins in control.
Out of the halftime locker room, Clark unleashed its most dominant stretch of the season. Pratt and Tostovrsnik scored at will around the rim, while Clark held Oregon Club to just 31% shooting for the game and 22.9% from three. The Penguins pushed the lead to 36 points in the final minute — their largest advantage of the night.
With the victory, Clark improves to 6–1 on the season and continues to show why it's one of the NWAC's most physical and disciplined teams. The combination of inside scoring, relentless rebounding, and balanced contributions across the roster proved too much for Oregon Club to handle.
Clark returns to action later this week as they look to continue their strong early-season momentum.
